  1. Do you guys offer training sessions? I just got my own GSD and she is 11 weeks old. I really want to start her off right with training and socializing. I also want her to be protection trained like this here, but would prefer professionals to handle that.

Thanks K9-1 family!

  3. You guys are awesome. I was a member of your site used your foundation style training to bring my GSD up to a good level of general obedience. It worked great. Very effective, straight forward and makes more sense than any other style of training I’ve found. I’ve recommended your company to every dog owner I’ve ever met. It’s great because an owner can do it on their own with the system you’ve created.

I wish I lived near you guys (or you had a satellite group on the west coast) so I that I could do personal protection work. There isn’t anyone like you here. I don’t have the knowledge, and if I did, I don’t have the equipment or help to do it (it definitely takes a team like you guys have to do what you do). Everyone is into the schutzhund stuff around here, and they think it’s the “end all-be all” of dog training. But I don’t want or need another hobby, and that’s all it is. A sport. The people I’ve talked to here are so sure that their dogs would be awesome protection dogs, but there is so much more to it. They don’t train for escape, and train their dogs to attack the arm opposite the of a weapon (who wants their dog to get beat or stabbed just to prove they are fearless?) etc. etc. I want a dog that stops the threat and can get away safely in the most effective manor. I don’t want to train a dog that I hope will bite someone not wearing a suit, and possibly get stabbed to death to have the attacker turn on me or my family with the weapon.

Keep up the good work fellas…

  4. I’ve never seen a more perfect example of why serious dogs need serious training. Kudos to your entire team, you do good work.

  5. How do you guys train to protect? I have a 17 week old Rottie, she has her basic commands down with some funny commands, I would like her to learn to protect cause I will be using her to go on runs. Just would like to know the first steps, or when I should start her on it.

    1. find a personal protection trainer near you. it’s not something that you should attempt on your own. training can start as early as 8 weeks, but your rottweiler needs to already have the protective nature in their genes. in most cases with a good strong bond if the situation ever arises and someone tries to harm you a powerful protective breed such as a rottweiler will step up and protect you. not always the case but alot of the time.

  6. Definitely the right breeding after seeing his mom bite through a sleeve and the way his dad is too. Mouse is definitely the result of good breeding way to go boy
