  2. Dom Travers says:

If i say go to the beach and my dog see’s a bird or another dog, there is no chance of him coming back, and if he sees a cat its like he doesn’t even hear me.

  7. John Wieseler says:

Great video Mike.  I’m looking for some kind of info/video regarding training my puppy to stay within the border of my lot.

  8. Chelsey PB says:

do you have any tips for a dog that is not food driven & does not like to cuddle/lots of love. he does love to play. I have a 2 year old pure bred gsd.

  9. Zone07 says:

Dude! You can make these videos much much shorter. You can start the video @ 5:30. You repeated yourself too many times and you should do the exercises while speaking; it will keep your viewers more engaged. You could have driven your points in about 3.5 minutes; your viewers will appreciate it and watch more of your videos. Your attack dog training videos are entertaining because the viewer is always engaged in the action.

  10. Tara Love says:

Might be better to show to to teach a dog to come with a dog who does nt come. These dogs come straight away, not what people who are searching for tips on getting your dog to come are dealing with. Usually they are dealing with a dog who ignores them. SO easy if the dog knows its name and comes. This kinda seems pointless, it is like your training dogs who have already been trained.

Wow! Great video! I am going to watch other videos too! ^___^
My dog is 5 year old beagle but he comes only when he thinks he can get his “favorite” treats like little pieces of meat.  When he is not hungry anymore, he would totally ignore me.  We pet him and give love to him all the time but he seems like he doesn’t like to be petted too much.  What should I do???? T.T
    What am I doing wrong?

    • Nicky P says:

Always take his favourite treats when you go out and show them to him when you get to the park. Then shake the bag of treats so he’ll come or he’ll run away!

  12. Judy Hall says:

I have a dog who won’t when called. I have had her for 4 years and I have never been able to get her to come unless she feels like it. She is a shelter dog and she always cowers when I approach her. I have never hit her or yelled at her. I have tried treats but that hasn’t worked but she loves praise but that doesn’t work either. Lately she has been more afraid of me and I don’t know why? She has had distemper even though she had her shots and her mouth chatters which could mean some slight brain damage. Could that be the cause of her acting fearful. Please help.. I am disabled and can’t run after her if when she runs off and I am afraid I will lose her. Thank You Judy

  13. Celeste Vangeli says:

Dude. You literally talked for 5 minutes straight and danced around the point of the video. I’m about to get a puppy and that was just a waste of time. I love all your other videos but on behalf of everyone: Get. To. The. Point.

felt personal so I pretended I was in his class.

    • George Halet says:

If you’re already familiar with the philosophy of Foundation Dog Training, then a cookbook-style set of steps is all that you might need.
However, I appreciate the effort to share the mindset behind the steps, so that I can start by learning the steps and then make up my own steps depending on the situation.
The common sense reconciliation of corrective and positive training resonates strongly with me, especially the clear definition of abuse.
      You rock, Mike!

  14. ruggedp345 says:

Hey liked the video man good explanation, but around how old do you recommend to start running these exercise? I got to GSD brothers and they play a lot like that

Sorry so many negative comments about your video. I loved it and was glad you repeated things. Thank you for helping those of us that don’t have a clue otherwise!

  16. TheFik76 says:

Question, how long should you work on a command before going to another. Is it ok to work on different commands at the same time/day or should you focus on one command for a day, week and then go to another lesson?

  17. Somthawin Pooseenam says:
